GET HEALTHIER FASTER WITH GOAL SETTING!
Finding a healthier you is always the goal to keep in mind, but sometimes along the way, this gets rough and you can lose your inspiration and that can lead to discouragement. Good thing is, that you can take some simple steps to guarantee your success!
WHY ARE YOU DIETING?
Understanding the reason that is behind what you are doing is a good first step. Knowing the reasons behind your weight loss goals makes it easier for you to keep focused on that prospect. So what is your purpose in dieting? Is your weight or health keeping you from doing certain things?
WRITE IT DOWN!
After you identify the reason or reasons for your weight loss with keto, write it or them down. I recommend to journal this or these goals. So that you can keep yourself on track.

SET YOUR MAIN GOAL
Reminding yourself of why you’re doing what you are is a vastly important tool tool success. Making your goals specific gives you stronger purpose with more incentive to stay on track.
REASONS YOU MIGHT BE DIETING:
- To fit into that new dress.
- To get healthier.
- To feel better.
- Not worry about trying on clothes when shopping.
- Feel in control of your heath and eating habits.
Even if you can’t think of a reason, like to “feel better”, “fit into those shorts”, “be healthier” and you can only focus on “losing weight” instead change that focus to a number. Say “lose 35 pounds”, you can put that into space, not setting a timeline, or you can set a timeline. And if you don’t make it, expand the timeline, never give up, never give in, just stay focused like a locomotive headed to the next stop.

Keeping that goal in mind (“fit into those shorts” or “lose 35 pounds”, or what have you) then you can get creative and make of list of steps that will lead you to that goal! Write that goal down in your journal, your workbook, or what have you. Then under that goal you will write the steps that will get you there; these are your tiny steps, your goals to achieve one at a time. These are your goals within your goal.
IN YOUR WORKBOOK, UNDER YOUR MAIN GOAL, CREATE YOUR INCREMENT GOALS
My main goal: To feel better
To achieve that I will:
- Lose 5 pounds in increments with a special reward each time.
- Exercise twice a week.
- Drink 8 glasses of water per day.
- Eat less than 50 grams of carbs per day.
Be sure that these goals are something you can accomplish, so you stay focused and accountable. One such goal could be to just lose 5 pounds, resetting that goal until you reach your bigger goal of 35 pounds.
Or your goal could be to exercise however so often, or reach a certain number of steps a day (lost of wonderful tools out there for this).
Then when you do this goal, check it off each week. You could put this into your weekly journal or your goals workbook or both!
Doing this keeps you inspired to keep going!
